A rainy day soup: spicy squash

In keeping with the lime juice and yogurt manner of eating I've chosen as of late...because I'm having trouble getting enough protein-I've turned to yogurt-but this is possibly at the expense of a little heartburn and breaking out a little.  Still determining the cost-benefit ratio on this choice.

Spicy Squashed Soup
2 cups peeled and cubed squash
2 large carrots, peeled and cubed
1 large onion, roughly cut
2 veggie soup cubes
1/3 cup quinoa
2 tsp ginger
1 tsp dill
1 tsp cumin
1 tbsp turmeric
salt
pepper
Water to cover about 2 cms higher than the veggies

Bring to boil, simmer until carrots are soft, blend with immersion blender. Serve with squeezes of lime, and about 2 tbsp of plain yogurt.  Sour cream would likely work too...garnish with fresh dill if you feel fancy like that.

Cheers and chao-
