And now, Christmas in the city and in the living room

It's December 1st.  The decorations have been up for at least two weeks, and many of them are lovely--in fact, we can see the enormous display along the river in the valley from our street.  They go big here.  They also go super shiny, and snow is a big theme (novelty, I'm sure!).

There are some highlights…
This is the same mall that was filled with flowers in August, and a maze in September, and last year, a toboggan run-winter wonderland scene…the kids went on the bumper cars, and the pilons are where shoppers can tie into a pair of skates and carve it up.

Now, if you have kids around, you might have some explaining to do with this next artistic interpretation of a Christmas tree.  It's in a different mall…

And at home, the Christmas countdown has begun.  The Lego advent calendars did actually arrive by mail, and this morning, we began…with smiles.

So there's a Christmas cheers, and chao-
