Glass butterflies

Today--we HIKED!
And climbed a rock, which was too great a scene for me to not snap the kids right up-
 Funny business with the angles
I took lots of these for Mom, who was marvelling at the different plants here.
On the trail indigenous peoples have walked for centuries, we followed in their footsteps
We walked the trails they took, and I was snapping all the way

This guy is a destructive force of one...munching away on the petals like a little fiend
Not all flowers are as expected

We also went to a huge park, that had a butterfly garden
The spectacular display of the day-if you don't include the zip line... A glass butterfly

My tribute to Dr. Suess-this is a speck, and it is significant.  It may not be a part of "who's who" but it will become a butterfly- someday.

The butterfly garden has specks that become caterpillars, and some can make a metallic chrysallis, and then, they all fly free.  We actually got to see them feeding...
Cheers and Chao!
